The textbook reveals the specifics of the philosophy of law as intellectual activity aimed at rational comprehension of legal reality. The history of philosophical and legal knowledge is described, issues of legal methodology, ontology of law, and the modern legal picture of the world are disclosed. The issues of epistemology are presented taking into account the relationship of the philosophy of law with axiology, on the one hand, and the latest socio -humanitarian paradigms on the other. The publication emphasized the understanding of law as the result of the purposeful activity of a person who forms the necessary conditions for regulating social relations, taking into account the existing and changing values of the modern world. Attention was paid to the issues of legal worldview, legal culture, legal hermeneutics. Discussions about the necessity and values of the state and civil society, the relationship of culture, law, state are analyzed. The understanding of the philosophical and legal aspects of scientific and technological transformations in modern society, the philosophical understanding of legal risks is presented.
The textbook was prepared in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the direction of preparation "Jurisprudence".
