A real monograph considers science fiction not only as a form of literature, but also as a phenomenon of culture and thinking. The author is trying to answer the questions: what is fantastic, how it is attractive to humans, how the existence of fantasy is predetermined by human desires and what strategies of explanation and justification of fantastic phenomena are characteristic of modern fantastic literature. The book makes an attempt to identify the meaning of the idea of the plurality of worlds characteristic of fiction. Also, the monographs analyze some of the socio-political paradigms that exist in modern Russian science fiction.
The book will be of interest to culturalists, philosophers, philologists, as well as for everyone who is interested in science fiction
