In the treatise "Critical Studies about the human mind, or the highest ability of cognition and will" (1797), Solomon Maymon continued the original line of interpretation of the critical philosophy of I. Kant, previously outlined in his "experience about transcendental philosophy", more consistently and deployed his own point vision of questions that made up the problematic core of Kantus criticism, not only in the field of theoretical reason, but also in the field of practical action. In a number of insightful judgments of Maimon, one can see the anticipation of those trends that will become decisive in the understanding of the Kantian heritage in the late XIX - early twentieth century. Therefore, it is "critical studies ..." that allow the most fully reconstructing the philosophical position of Maimon and to compose an idea of his role and place in the history of the development of post -tank transcendentalism in the history of philosophy as a whole
