Today we are witnesses not just a revival of interest in the neo -Kantian direction in philosophy, but of the real paper of research on neo -Kantianism. And this peculiar “turn to neo-Kantianism” wears not only historical and philosophical subtext. Neo -Kantian ideas are considered as quite modern, capable of acting as a philosophical basis for the analysis of modern social processes associated with science, man, society, and culture.
And even among this paper, interest in the philosophical system of the city of Kogen is highlighted, partially related to the absence - for various, more often non -philosophical reasons - such an interest earlier, and with a request to the system analytics of Kant, and with interesting independent ideas of modern authors , consonant with the ideas of the Marburg Neo -Kantian. One of the important elements of this interest is studies on the history of Russian neo -Kantianism and the influence of the Kogen teaching on its Russian students and followers.
The monograph proposed to the reader is an attempt to systematically present the result of the many years of the author’s perennial efforts aimed at studying the rich and diverse heritage of German Cogene. The monograph uses the material previously published in the magazines “Questions of Philosophy”, “Kanting Collection”, “Judaika Petropolitana”, “Personality. Culture. Society ”, as well as the preface and reviews to the translations and books of G. Kogen, A. Smim, L. Bertolino, R. Munk and Z. Sokuler.
