In the focus of attention of the monograph - the concept of the "neopatric synthesis", formulated by prot. George Florovsky in 1936 and issued in the intellectual movement of the XX-XXI centuries. Western culture, which survived the modernist crisis in the 20th century, in search of a way out of the impasse, turned to a common source for all Christian civilization, an avalanche -like interest in which was the name of the "patrician Renaissance". Since the last decade of the 20th century, domestic science has actively joined this process. The author of the study substantiates that the Eastern Christian tradition is not only a kind of "spiritual heritage of the past" or “living tradition”, but has the status of an epistem. This means that it has an appropriate criterion system and analytical tools for interpretation procedures, without which the planning of sociocultural strategies is impossible. Such an understanding introduces it into the scientific field of modernity and opens up the prospects of living historical creativity. The reference characteristics contain an ancient Christian tradition, the legacy of the great fathers of the Church
