Green A. Narcissism of life, the narcissism of death in the book of Andre Green, an outstanding French psychoanalyst, collected his articles on the problem of narcissism, one of the most mysterious in the theory of psychoanalysis. In 1914, Freud introduced the concept of narcissism into the theory, but then lost all interest to him, which he brilliantly developed by him, and in 1920 began a cardinal change in his theory. After some period of oblivion, this abandoned concept returned in France, and then in America. Andre Green, who did not stop being interested in this issue since 1963, is one of the few authors - if not the only one - who tried to connect the theory of narcissism with the second theory of Freud"s drives. Since in general, narcissism seems to be in its positive aspects with which he is attached to the sexual drives of life, the author shows the need to postulate the existence of the narcissism of death, called by him negative narcissism. Unlike the first, who strives for the implementation of unity, the second strives for the opposite - to his abolition in the desire for zero
