The attention of the readers is offered the outstanding work of the great Italian poet Francesco Petrarch (1304–1374)-a book, written in the form of a dialogue between Augustine Blessed and Francis, that is, Petrarch himself, before the court of truth. In a book, consisting of three conversations, various moral and ethical problems are raised: that the basis of human happiness and misfortune lies the own free will of a person, about the contradiction and reconciliation between the highest moral requirements and the desire of a person for exalted love and active activity. This book, both in its psychological insight and in the depths of ethical problems affected in it, is one of the wonderful literary monuments lying at the origins of the European Renaissance.
The book will be interesting to both philosophers, historians and literary critics, as well as a wide circle of readers
