The book is addressed to those who are just starting to study modern philosophy at the university or for some reason decided to understand the issues of philosophy on their own. The authors set the task of introducing students and graduate students to some key competencies and concepts in philosophy, which determine the situation of philosophy today and are in the center of modern technology -philosophical discussions. The textbook is closest to textbooks on the so -called continental philosophy, which represent the authors and theories associated with the philosophy of existentialism, post -structuralism and the posthedegger tradition. At the same time, this is not a textbook on the discipline "Continental Philosophy" - not only because it has chapters devoted not to European philosophers, but primarily because the opposition of continental and analytical philosophy acts in it, but the opposition epistemological, fixed on the problems of knowledge, philosophy and political philosophy, in the focus of which the issues of power and resistance, political struggle and the possibility of social transformations are in the focus of attention. In other words, in the textbook, the emphasis is on political philosophy that emphasizes the problems of political, discursed in the traditions of not conservative, but “left” philosophical thought associated with neo -marksism and feminism
