Modern state. National and social vectors of evolution

On the basis of the author’s interpretation of the term “Modern state”, two vectors of the evolution of the modern state in Europe, expressed in the phased nationalization and socialization of this institution - the emergence of national and social states that have developed different historical embodiment, are reconstructed and discussed in Europe. The philosophical foundations and research paradigms of the modern concepts of the essence, origin and evolution of national and social states are investigated, their methodological advantages and disadvantages are investigated. The paths of the formation of national states and their transformations into colonial empires, the process of decolonization and the emergence of new national and pseudonational states in the second half of the 20th century are analyzed. The stages of the historical process of socialization of states, the transition of developed countries in the 20th century from the idea of a social state to conflicting practice and numerous forms of the state of universal well -being are shown. The issue of the prospects of the formation and development of the Russian nation, the program of transformation of the Russian social state from the state of social protection to the state of popular welfare, ensuring a decent life and free development of their citizens.
