The monograph is devoted to the study of modern Islamism and its influence on the socio-political situation in the countries of the Arab world. The work comprehensively considers the evolutionary development of Islamism in the XX and XXI century. When studying the domestic and foreign historiography of Islamism, the author is given a unique periodization with the logical justification of each of the stages. The formation and development of conservative (salafite), moderate and radical directions in Islamism is analyzed. Separately considered post -lamism as a modern form of Islamism. Moreover, the prospects of the deradication of Islamism are given on the example of specific deradicization programs in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. One of the important conclusions of the monograph is the preserved potential of Islamism as a dominant ideology in the region, as well as the ongoing transformational shifts in its structure.
