This book presents a collection of articles prepared following the international conference “Metaphysics and post-metaphysical thinking” (October 22-23, 2019, the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences) By uniting scientists of various views and institutions, the conference showed that interest in metaphysics in the philosophical community is still high. Nevertheless, it is no secret to anyone that recently metaphysics is located or, in any case, it is believed that it is in a crisis. It is assumed that something new is replaced by the name of post-metaphysical thinking, that is, such thinking that was formed after metaphysics, is non-antimetaphysical and no longer needs metaphysics. How fair is it? Can we talk about overcoming the end of metaphysics? What is metaphysics in general? The authors of the collection are looking for answers to these and other questions.
