The text of the “logical and philosophical treatise” can hardly be called voluminous, but it is difficult to overestimate its significance for all subsequent European philosophy, and brevity in this case only indicates how compressed, clearly and accurately Wittgenstein formulated his thought. Seven short theses and a little more than a hundred pages of comments on them ... But in this minimum volume, Wittgenstein managed to accommodate the translation into the philosophical language of all the main ideas of logical analysis.
