The house is a basic human need. The book, on the one hand, discusses the features of the housing needs of the older generation, on the other, on the basis of empirical research conducted by the Center for Field Research by the Institute of Social Analysis and Predicting of the RANEPA, and the analysis of world experience in the development and design of (social) housing, comfortable for all ages, The concept of a new social house is proposed. Perhaps the concept may seem utopian to the reader, but the authors sincerely hope that the book can be the first step on the path of awareness of the reality of the implementation of the idea of a comfortable old age surrounded by close people, neighbors, and the creation of a favorable environment for aging outside isolation.
The book is designed for a wide range of readers, including sociologists, demographers, urbanists, architects, planners of urban spaces, gerontologists, representatives of non-profit organizations and civil servants, employees of the sphere of social services and housing and communal services, graduate students, students and all Who shows interest in the topic of aging, planning old age and arranging the life of the older generation without separation and isolation from other public groups
