Thomas Carleil (1795 - 1881) - British philosopher, writer and publicist. He professed the romantic "cult of heroes" - exceptional personalities like Napoleon, who, with their affairs, fulfill the divine destination and move humanity forward, rising above the crowd of limited inhabitants. It is no accident that one of the sections of the book of Carlyle was called "People and Heroes", and in others he prescribed life rules for a society that exists on such principles.
Manuel Sargsyanz (1923 - 2015) - German sociologist, political scientist and historian, Armenian by nationality. The Sargsyanz considered the theory of "great personalities", the “superman"” as an ideological base of Nazism, and he considered Thomas Carleil the ideological inspirer of the Nazis, along with Nietzsche.
The collection presents the works of Carleil, Sargsyanz and other famous philosophers dedicated to the topic of "leadership"
