The new book of the famous, professor at the University of Tafts and the author of outstanding works on the philosophy of consciousness Breaking the Spell, Darwin"s Dangerous Idea and Consciousness Explained, the American philosopher Daniel Dennet (r. 1942) is an inspired description of the workshop and working tools of the thinker, which is at the same time a kind of synthetic extension his philosophy. The author pays particular attention to mental experiments, which he calls “pumps of intuition”, short stories “which are designed to stimulate sincere, felt intuitive insight”. Not limited to
