The labor presented is the first monograph in intercultural philosophy in Russia. This is an attempt to determine the concept of "intercultural philosophy", to consider its origins in an inextricable connection with the evolution of philosophical comparativeness, to identify cultural prerequisites for its development. Central attention is paid to intercultural philosophy as a methodology for cognition and the prospects of creating a new cartography of rationality. Intercultural polylogue is considered in the context of generally significant global problems, including an ecological vector of civilization, a destructive gap between economics and ethics, searching for ways of modernization, expanding the boundaries of philosophy and science, moral recovery of society and moral improvement of personality
