The book considers the concept of life developed in scholastic treatises "about the soul" created in the XVII century. and significantly expanding the boundaries of traditional Aristotelian psychology. This concept is based on the idea of life as an extremely internal, immanent perfection. The life of a thinking and striving creature is articulated in two fundamental forms: as a physical life, in which a person is one of the links in a common sequence of creations, and as an intense life ("life of knowledge and aspirations"), in which he is maximally likened to God
