History and Philosophy of Science. Textbook for graduate students and applicants

The textbook is written by famous Russian scientists, professors of leading universities in the country, members of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Education. It was prepared in accordance with the program of candidate exams “History and Philosophy of Science” (“Philosophy of Science”) and contains a system of basic knowledge on the philosophy and methodology of science, as well as on the history and philosophy of basic humanitarian disciplines. In an effort to make a textbook as convenient as possible in preparation for passing a candidate exam, the authors reveal each topic, answering four key questions, offering at the end of the text questions for repeating, the topic of abstracts and a list of the most important literature.
The book is intended for graduate students and applicants of the economic and social and humanitarian profile, as well as for all those interested in the problems of history and philosophy of science
