Gilles Delez was a philosopher. Felix Gvattari is a psychoanalyst. The life and joint work of these most important figures of the French intellectual life of the second half of the 20th century is a vivid example of political and intellectual prosperity in the period of May 1968. Delez (1925-1995) taught philosophy at the Vincenh experimental University and, relying on a deep understanding of the history of philosophy, took up a unique work on creating concepts. Felix Gvattari (1930-1992) was a professional psychoanalyst and one of the first students of Lacan. A participant in numerous left -wing movements, he practiced in a psychiatric clinic La Bord and created in 1966 a self -governing research team - the Center for Institutional Research and Education. Their acquaintance with each other in 1969 will put the beginning of great friendship and unprecedented intellectual adventures. Starting with the "Anti-Edip" and ending with a thousand plateau and "What is a philosophy?", They will write together works that have no analogues in their conceptual ingenuity and a variety of references aimed at combating psychoanalysis and capitalism.
In this double biography, Francois Doss, relying on work with unrelated archival materials and long conversations with numerous witnesses, reveals the logic of work connecting theory and experiment, creating concepts, critical thought and social practice. DOSS explores the secrets of unique joint creativity, which forms a separate page of our intellectual history, which has not yet lost its relevance
