The monograph is the first experience in the reconstruction of the political theory of French liberal conservatism on the material of the works of Francois Gizo. An attempt was made to recreate the intellectual landscape of the restoration of the Restoration and the July monarchy. The significance of the political theory of GIZO as a system of philosophical views, which formed the basis of French liberal conservatism, is revealed. The main components of the doctrine of French liberal conservatism are clarified, which is an important part of French political thought and public life of the XIX century. The study of this tradition allows us to recreate the multidirectional process of the formation of French civil society and the rule of law. The works of Francois Gizo (1787-1874) became the theoretical foundation of this process. In the monograph, the philosophical foundations of French liberal conservatism are defined and described through the analysis of key concepts, as well as the problems of freedom, equality, power, sovereignty, teleology and historiosophy in the works of Francois Gizo.
