Walter Benjamin (1892–1940) is an outstanding German philosopher, aesthetic, essayist, critic, literature historian and translator, one of the most original cultural theorists of the 20th century, a non -academic researcher who had a huge impact on various social and humanitarian sciences, a thinker whose ideas have laid down The basis of modern understanding of modernism and anticipated a number of key concepts of postmodern theory.
