“Faith and Knowledge” is one of the first published works of the classic of German idealism G.V.F. Hegel, which appeared in 1802 in the Critical Journal, published by him with Schelling. This work is a significant milestone in the formation of the doctrine of the mind as a speculative idea. Hegel criticizes the largest philosophers, Kant, Jacobi and Fichte, combining their teachings under the name “metaphysics of subjectivity” and “reflexive philosophy”, for which, as Hegel believed, the unity of faith and reason, religion and philosophy remained unattainable. Translation into Russian seeks to convey the peculiar style of Hegel, which in this, as in subsequent works, is inseparable from the tasks set by the philosopher.
Four analytical articles are published in the application - authors who worked on translation into English and Russian. Due to the variety of prospects, they create a volumetric space of interpretations in which there is enough space for the form of an object of their own vision of the subject.
The book is addressed to everyone who is interested in philosophical teachings in their formation and polemic dimension
