Michelle de Montigne (1533–1592) - French writer and philosopher of the 16th century. He was one of the most striking representatives of the humanistic direction in the philosophy of the Renaissance. Montigne was a wise and erudite person, which allowed him to engage in writing.
Assistan of the literary and philosophical essay Experiments became his main work, on which the philosopher worked for 10 years. Written in a lively and free form “experiments”, where Montigne, acting as a subtle observer, consider public administration, relations between people and power over their own will.
