Plato is a great ancient Greek philosopher, whose ideas had a huge impact on the formation of the human spirit and the culture of human thought of subsequent centuries. It is from him, the student of Socrates and the teacher of Aristotle, that the formation of scientific thinking in the strict sense of the word begins. But Plato was always considered as an authoritative mystic, trying to convey to people knowledge of pure being and good. In this publication, the reader offers the selected dialogs of Plato - “Alcibiades I”, “Gorgia”, “Fedon”, “Feast”, “Fedr”, which examines three big topics: the nature of philosophical knowledge, ethical doctrine in connection with evidence of the immortality of the soul and Love as a force that turns the personality to cognition and makes it God -like. In the famous dialogue “state”, the philosopher tried to cover the most important issues of human existence. The dialogue opens up to attempts to determine the concept of justice, then the thinker considers six forms of state rule - monarchy, aristocracy, thymocracy, oligarchy, democracy and tyranny - and finally proceeds to the description of the ideal state controlled by philosophers, “since only the wise can bear care of the correct way of life All citizens.
