Dialogs

The name of Plato does not need a special presentation. Throughout European history, the dialogues of this ancestor of philosophy, representing, among other things, great artistic value, involve the reader in an endless conversation in which his reader can be born, his own thought. The thinker’s questioning speech is addressed to everyone who is open to the conversation and is not afraid of unexpected discoveries that may happen in his own soul.
Once again and again, Plato continues to stop the passers -by, distracting them from everyday worries, and to give birth to amazement before the mystery of the most seemingly simple and naive issues: what is justice? What is good? What is love?
The present edition includes dialogs from the early, transition and mature periods of Plato"s work, including such important texts as the Apology of Socrates, "Feast," Fedon "," Fedr ", as well as the introductory article by Vladimir Solovyov, One of the most significant Russian philosophers of the XIX century
