“Criticism of the cynical mind” Slaterdaika is one of the most important works of Western philosophy of the second half of the 20th century. The “criticism of pure reason” Immanuel Kant, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the “criticism of pure mind,” this explosive, giving way to wit, made a real splash in academic circles, forced her to change his view of the surrounding world and moral problems. The dominant of modern culture, both on the personal and at the institutional level, for Slaterdaika is cynicism - an enlightened false consciousness. This consciousness assimilates the lessons of education, but does not want and is not able to put them into practice. Everyday “diffuse” cynicism is that a person knows the best, but makes the worst. Slaterdike analyzes the situation of mass cynicism on the material of the political and cultural life of Germany from the time of the Weimar Republic. Slaterdike sees the possibility of overcoming cynicism in the revival of the tradition of kinism from Diogenes to Schweik, in this “embodiment of resistance”, opposite the modern concept of stability, focused on self -preservation and rationalization of capitalist culture.
