Immanuel Kant is the greatest of the philosophers of the New Age, the founder of classical German philosophy. The circle of professional interests of Kant was unusually wide. He developed the theory of the origin of the solar system, studied earthquakes, gave lectures on physics and geography. However, the most significant works of Kant, which made a genuine coup in the field of thought, are the so -called “critical works”.
The third of Kant’s “critic”, “criticism of the ability of judgment” dates back to 1790 and is one of the most important works in the history of world aesthetic thought. To one degree or another, he influenced the views of Schiller, Goethe, Schelling, Hegel, as well as Russian thinkers of the 19th and 20th centuries who have accepted Kant"s ideas or polemicized with them, this work to this day remains an invaluable source of food in the field of philosophy of beauty and art
