Yamvlich Chalkid (c. 250 - c. 325) is considered one by researchers a student of Porphyry and the third greater philosopher of the neoplatonic school, others as a follower of Alexandria Neophagoreans and peripatics, having only an external attitude to the school of dam.
At the beginning of the fourth century, he substantiated the best philosophical school of his time under the sanctuary of Apollo in Daphne near Antioch. His work decisively influenced the worldview of Emperor Julian and fell into the foundation of the Athenian school of neoplatonism, which completed the tradition of ancient philosophizing.
This assembly is the first attempt in Russian practice to reduce all the surviving thinker in one edition.
The second volume was the largest of the theological and philosophical works of Yamvlich, summing up the almost millennium tradition of ancient philosophical theology. The Yamvlich system was crucial for the final period of ancient philosophy from Emperor Julian to Alexandria Neoplatonism
