After the global financial and economic crisis of 2008-2009. Interest in the world and in Russia in the theoretical heritage of Karl Marx and classical political economy has sharply increased, but modern, which responds to the challenges of the economy of the 21st century of educational literature, is negligible.
The textbook for the first time in Russian gives a holistic characteristic of modern economic relations in historical retrospective. In it, the reader will find answers to the main questions of economic life, learn about what the market, money and capital are and what are their features in the 21st century, why and how corporations manipulate the consumer and what role the state plays in the modern economy, which makes a person “economic selfish ”, what is monetary fetishism and the simulacra market, what property is and why today 1 % of the population concentrates more than half of world wealth in its hands, what are the economic causes of social inequality and poverty, what economic systems existed for millennia to the market and which are replaced , and pl. A distinctive feature of this textbook is that it not only reproduces the classical political and economic heritage, first of all, the economic theory of K. Marx, but also significantly complements its achievements of the modern world and domestic economic theory of Western European, American and Russian authors.
The textbook is focused not only on bachelors that can receive basic knowledge in the field of political economy, but also on masters (Appendix 1), for which the authors reveal the contradictions of modern global capitalism and its Russian characteristics.
