Despite the fact that the essays collected in this volume are written at different times, the book, nevertheless, according to the author, has the unity of the look, goals and objectives, and I would like to hope that the reader will feel it. The unity of the view lies in the position of the historian, who considers the universe and everything that contains in it - spirit and flesh, events and human experience - in the progressive movement through space and time. The general goal that permeates the entire series of these essays is an attempt to at least slightly penetrate the meaning of this mysterious and mysterious representation. The dominant idea here is a well -known idea that the Universe is known as great as our ability to comprehend it as a whole. This idea has some practical consequences for the development of the historical method of cognition. Available for understanding the field of historical research cannot be limited by any national framework, we must extend our historical horizon to thinking with categories of the whole civilization. However, these wider frames are still too narrow, because civilization, like the nation, are multiple, and not single, there are various civilizations that are in contact and encounter, and societies of a different kind are born from these clashes: higher religions. And this, nevertheless, is not the limit of the field of historical research, because none of the highest religions can be known within the boundaries of only our world. The earthly history of the highest religions is only one of the aspects of the life of the kingdom of heaven, in which our world is only a small province. So the story goes into theology
