The proposed monograph is devoted to the problem of developing its own positive cultural identity by Russian civilization and the Slavic cultural and historical type, as a full-fledged subject of world history. The complex and contradictory mechanism of its formation is revealed through the religious and philosophical reflection of the thinkers of Russia XIX - XX Art. Such an experience in gaining self -awareness can be useful for the Eastern Slavs to create their being in the 21st century, the century in which the tendency to oblivion of the universals and values of Christian culture was exposed.
