The present publication included the works of the outstanding Russian thinker Konstantin Nikolaevich Leontyev, united by the interest of the philosopher on the eastern and national issue, to understand the role of Russia in the historical process.
All these works were collected under one heading Leontyev himself and published in the 5th and 6th volumes of his lifetime works, which was the basis of this publication. Along with the articles, the famous work of Leontyev "Byzantism and Slavicism" entered the book, where he develops his original theory of culture - one of the most famous in the history of Russian thought.
Complete the publication article S.N. Trubetskoy "disappointed Slavophile" and the work of A. Zakrzhevsky "Lone thinker", which give an interesting representation of the personality and philosophical views of Leontiev.
