Inadzo Nitobe was born in 1862, was the third son of a famous Samurai family in the city of Moriok in northern Japan. Later he left for the United States of America, where he studied polytechnic disciplines at the University of Jones Hopkins. In 1890, he received a doctoral degree at the University of Galle (Germany) Then, in 1891, Inadzo Nitobe returned to Japan and published several books in English and German, among them “Busido is the soul of Japan”, which was published in 1900.
