This book is not about implantation medicine and not about electrodes or implantable stimulants. It is, on the contrary, about processes affecting people from outside. Nevertheless, the author does not distinguish between these spheres, since the described practices are directly related to the conduct of brain research, and have already been used to stimulate creative potential, memory and performance. Thus, the “brain prosthetics” mean not only the techniques that create an aura (V. Benjamin) of thinking mechanisms, but, to a greater extent, practices that affirm the aura in general in order to control, communicate and control thought.
The book will be interesting to philosophers, culturalists, historians, art historians and a wide circle of readers
