The book is a collection of scientific and philosophical articles and philosophical and literary essays, which demonstrate the interaction of philosophy and history of philosophy, on the one hand, as well as literature, literary criticism and cultural studies, on the other. The first section of the book is devoted to the consideration of the ratio of philosophy and culture. In the second section, philosophical objectivity with its topics and problems, categories and concepts appears in the contours of the author’s personal experience revealed by literary means. As a result, philosophizing receives a personally articulated existential-artistic coloring.
The author is convinced that the subject of philosophical work is not a transcendental, it is not not clear whose Cogito is not a world spirit, but a specific person in the living uniqueness of his face and interpersonal communication. And he does not so much declare this as in Statu Operandi shows. A characteristic example of the synthesis of philosophy and literature is the essay "Man and the gun" that opens the work of the second section of the book. The author seeks to present the philosophy of “living voices of philosophical faces, in their dramatically tense disputes and dialogues”, in the work of philosophical meditation, in the experience of in -depth immersion into the life and work of writers and thinkers.
The book includes such articles and essays as "Philosophy and Music", "Poetry and Philosophy", "As I understand Philosophy", "personalism as a worldview and style of thought", "Our Stefan Cweig", reading Ernst Yunger "and other works, mostly not published.
