The basis of this publication was the two books of Alena (the pseudonym Emil Shartier - Emile Chartier, 1868-1951), a widely known thinker, writer and teacher in France. The first of them, "short course for the blind. Portraits and doctrines of ancient and modern philosophers" is a collection of brief (mainly) essays dedicated to outstanding philosophers and philosophical schools (starting from ancient and completing O. Comte, whose teaching is considered much more than the rest) and representing elegant, original original but nothing more than sketch sketches to portraits of the largest Western European thinkers. The author pays predominant attention not to factualology and not even the analysis of individual concepts, but to transmit the intellectual impression he received as a result of understanding the latter. The name of the book is ambiguous (even despite the fact that in its first edition it was really gained by the font of Braille), because it suggests that (another) addressee its readers who do not have a fairly sharp "philosophical vision" and are not able to be presented in the copyright A review of philosophical teachings to discern some nuances that were noticed by French intellectual. The second book, "reasoning about aesthetics", is a collection of exclusively universal, stylistically subtle, saturated with metaphors and metaphorical images (often with difficulty to interpret) of essays, belonging to the "invented" author at the turn of the 19th-XX centuries to the genre "propos" And written on various and by no means always in the literal sense of the word aesthetic topics. The book also includes articles on Alena and his work, and its texts are equipped with detailed comments
