Readers are proposed to the book of a famous domestic scientist-logic A.S. Akhmanov (1893-1957), which studies the entire complex of logical problems developed by Aristotle. The author concludes that the logical teaching of the great stagirite is not a science about being, but about the knowledge of the existing, and --- in contrast to formalistic currents in logic --- the science of means of establishing truth, that is, the correspondence of the thought of reality, and not just about means consent of reason with itself. The logic of Aristotle is connected not only with the science of the principles of existing (with the “first philosophy”), but to no less than the private sciences of existing --- mathematics, natural science and social sciences, in particular ethics and politics.
It is recommended for a wide circle of readers interested in the history of logic, issues of ontology and epistemology, will be useful to students, graduate students studying logic, as well as teachers
