Real anthology invites the reader to get acquainted with the Jewish philosophy of the new and modern times as a historical and systematic whole. All sixteen presented in the book of the authors combined deep knowledge in traditional Jewish scholarship with an outstanding role in world philosophy. This background of their activities is well known to the general public. However, without taking into account the second, Jewish plan of their thinking, the work of these authors is not clear enough. The same can be said about the place of these philosophers in the history of Jewish thought, it is completely unclear without taking into account their role in world philosophy. Anthology not only contains important fragments of the philosophy of Jewish thinkers, many of which are published in Russian for the first time, but gives the keys to reading them. The texts of each author are anticipated by introductory articles containing an overview of his philosophy and information about the history of his research and perception in world culture. The overall introduction contains an outline of the history of Jewish philosophy from the XVII century to the present day, and also formulates the criteria for the inclusion of authors and their texts in the composition of anthology
