Franz Brentano (1838-1917) significantly transformed the main areas of philosophical knowledge - the theory of knowledge, logic, ethics, ontology, history of philosophy. He laid the foundation for the phenomenology of consciousness and had a significant impact on the formation of analytical philosophy. Among his immediate students and listeners are E. Husserl, A. Meinong, K. Twardowski, A. Marty, Z. Freud and others. This publication introduces the Russian -speaking reader with the philosophy of Brentano in its thematic and innovative diversity.
