This edition summarizes the results of fundamental research and a rich clinical experience of Russian and foreign specialists, accumulated over the past decades, international recommendations and WHO standards are taken into account.
Practical health care is proposed a new version of the classification of tuberculosis, and previously adopted clinical recommendations are updated. For the first time, the treatment of tuberculosis of any localization was proposed, recommendations on the diagnosis and treatment of latent tuberculosis infection were given, on providing anti-tuberculosis assistance to people living with HIV.
