Textile town, I will get off at the far station, How good it is to be a general, Black cat... Such different, but invariably soul-penetrating songs. Their author - Mikhail Tanich - lived a difficult life. He fought, reached Berlin, returned victorious, entered the institute - and due to denunciation received six years of labor camps. That's where he got lucky - he didn't die, endured, returned (though with the stigma of a person deprived of rights). He worked as a foreman on a construction site, and as a literary employee in the district newspaper... And all this time, starting from childhood, he wrote poems. And then his poems became songs, which were given life by Joseph Kobzon, Alla Pugacheva, Larisa Dolina, Lev Leshchenko, Laima Vaikule, the band Lesopoval, and many others. And of course, the whole country sang and still sings them today. Probably, in order to write such songs, one had to go through this difficult path and preserve a living soul within oneself. Just like a true poet - Mikhail Isaevich Tanich did.
