The Phoenicians invented many things that we still use today. Firstly, the alphabet. Secondly, transparent glass. Thirdly, fast ships. The Phoenicians were the first to venture across the treacherous Atlantic Ocean in search of unknown lands in Africa, discovered a way to make bright fabric dye, and learned to grow sweet dates.
