The works of the German thinker George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831) became the peak of German classical philosophy. It was Hegel who, with the help of the dialectical method developed by him, give the teachings, subsequently called idealism, the appearance of a finished, deeply thought out philosophical system. “Philosophy of the Spirit” is a final work that entered the Hegelian fundamental “encyclopedia of philosophical sciences”. In this unusually complex work, Hegel formulated the most important idea of freedom in the modern world. By uniting ethics in a single teaching, the theory of public administration and religion, Hegel managed to find a place in his system for logical and natural, human and divine. Hegelian philosophy gave rise to a powerful movement of followers - Hegelianism, and from the polemic with its teaching the most influential philosophical movements of the latest time grew: Marxism, positivism, existentialism
