Reprint from the 2nd edition. SPb., 1879. The second edition of the popular German composition of Oswald Friedrich (1866) on guidance for caring for a copsal dog. This publication was extremely popular among Russian hunters, so the first edition of the book was dispersed very quickly. When presenting the material, the author did not go into the theory of this issue as much as he preferred the practical way of presenting the topic, especially because the material for writing this publication was carefully checked by the author on his own experience as a passionate lover of dogs. The publication pays much attention to the upbringing of a dog, maintaining and training without beatings, as well as the choice of a dog and its description, the main things that need to be guided by the acquisition of a dog/puppy. The remaining parts of the composition are devoted to the training of cops (divided into five departments), diseases and treatment of dogs, other information on the content, taming and arrangement of the dog. With the application of description of breeds of hunting dogs and Russian dog hunting. Translated from German Vestenrick A.I (1844 - 1906) - Lieutenant General, participant in the suppression of the Polish uprising, head of the 3rd district of border guard in Odessa.
