"St. Petersburg Stories" are tales about Leningrad-St. Petersburg at the end of the 1980s to the 2000s. The characters in the stories are people of different generations and social classes. From an elderly pensioner, a former doctor, living out her days on Vasilievsky Island, to a late Soviet-era petty thief, from the chief director of a drama theater to a bankrupt businessman who started out selling trinkets at the Gostiny Dvor.
