The new book of the famous writer and journalist Andrei Sharovo is devoted to the most European city of Russia - St. Petersburg. This is a collection of fifty-two - by the number of weeks in the year - essays written by Muscovite, many years living outside Russia. The genre of the "Petersburg Globe" literary critics define as "intellectual lubok": the style of Andrei Sharpay allows you to combine the cognitive texture with the simplicity of the topic of the theme, the thin irony and curiosity of a person who seeks to comprehend the hidden device of urban life. As in his previous book of travel essays "Four Seasons", published in the series "Letters of the Russian Traveler" in 2006, the author is looking for answers to questions related not only to history and culture. Is it necessary in the world of the XXI century to build a new coordinate system or is it and forever defined by the former public experience? Does Russia change in the cultural map of the planet? The search will continue in the future - in the collection of Essays "Moscow Globus"
