We do not even suspect how many owed to Peter I, who went down in history under the name of the Great. Whatever we take - the alphabet, Russian, newspapers, roads, clothes, food, army, fleet and much more - all this is connected with his name. Until the very foundation, he changed the life of Russia. Peter I was a great ruler, who during his lifetime and after death caused a variety of feelings, from admiration to hatred. They still argue, for trouble or the good for the country there was his rule. Each generation in its own way appreciated the activity of the king-reformer, but everyone recognized his undoubted contribution to the development of Russia.
