The idea of ​​creating a national portrait gallery in Russia in recent years has become more and more relevant. However, the form in which it should be realized in the specific conditions of the country, where the domestic artistic heritage is concentrated in the hands of the state and is divided between large museum meetings, requires a serious and multilateral approach.
