Considered issues of theory and practices of social development and organization of social work in organizations. The backgrounds of the occurrence, stages of development and the modern content of the management functions of the social sphere of enterprises abroad and in Russia are illuminated. Special attention is paid to topical issues and objectives of planning and organizing activities to manage this area of organizations. The organizational structure of social development management and the interaction of units associated with the performance of these functions are described.
