The book is dedicated to the current and experimentally-psychologically underdeveloped issue of personality psychology. It begins with a historical overview of the development of this problem in domestic and foreign pathopsychology. It demonstrates the importance of pathopsychological studies of personality disintegration for theoretical questions of general psychology and psychiatry, both for understanding the nature of mental illnesses themselves and for analyzing the structure of normally occurring mental activity. A large section of the book is devoted to the role of psychological research in solving practical tasks of psychiatric clinics (restoring work capacity, diagnosing mental illnesses).
